NATC's facilities support our full range of testing, engineering, and fabrication services. This includes over 3,000 miles of test courses, winter test facilities, environmental test chambers, structural test fixtures, fabrication, machine, and maintenance shops, photo and video labs, storage facilities, and customer support/conference facilities.
NATC has developed facilities to provide efficient and effective vehicle evaluations. Within the contiguous test boundaries of NATC, terrain analogs have been established for representative areas in the Middle East, Far East, Europe, North and South America, and Australia.
NATC’s unique water mobility tests include bank transitions, simulated ship launch and recovery, swim capability, shallow and deep fording with fresh or salt water, and natural river crossings.
NATC offers a variety of test courses that are on or within a 60-mile radius of the main NATC facility. If an area does not exist in natural conditions, our experienced staff can construct or simulate it.
NATC’s Winter Test Facility is a premier winter proving ground located in West Yellowstone, Montana. Available from November 15 to April 15 each year, our winter facility offers optimal winter test conditions from December through March, with approximately two million square feet of groomed test surfaces and expanded facilities and infrastructure.
